The spectrograms are aligned to the coactivation times of ensemble pairs that had a significant zero lag cross-correlation peak. The onset of ensemble pair coactivation is indicated by the red line. The resulting spectra clustered into two types. Each plot shows the average spectrogram across all ensemble pairs associated with each cluster. Only significant changes in the power spectrum are plotted in color, and nonsignificant modulations are white. Colors correspond to spectral modulation index values, as in Fig. 6 A and B .
