CS-SILY molecule increases retention in hydrogels compared to CS. Percentage of encapsulated CS retained in the hydrogel over time after a 3-hour polymerization. CS encapsulation after a wash (day 0) or 7-day period are shown. Single factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey post hoc tests were performed (n = 4). Data that share the same letter do not have statistically significant differences (p > 0.05) whereas data that do not share the same letter have statistically significantly differences (p < 0.05).
