Illustration of Corn-like Au/AgNR-mediated antitumor immune responses. Corn-like Au/Ag NR-mediated NIR-II PTT/PDT significantly increased the expression of calreticulin, high-mobility group box 1, and adenosine triphosphate in tumor cells, reprogramming the immunosuppressive cold tumor microenvironment to immunogenic heat tumor, which achieve the combined anti-cancer activity with the ICB antibody and effectively inhibit the growth of distant tumors and prevent tumor recurrence.
