Autophagy has a role in the inhibition of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in some situations [16]. Conversely, MIR532-3p levels are decreased in gastric cancer. This miRNA inhibits the expression of RAB3IP. Overexpression of RAB3IP is associated with a decrease in autophagy and enhancement of EMT [79].
