Amlodipine combined with gefitinib led to a synergistic anti-proliferative effect on A549 cells. (A) MTT assay was used to detect the inhibitory effect of gefitinib (Gef) on cell proliferation. (B) A549 cells were treated with amlodipine, gefitinib, or a combination of these agents for 48 h. A549 cells were treated with amlodipine and gefitinib, with several percentages of IC₅₀ value. (C) A549 cells were harvested 48 h after treatment with amlodipine, gefitinib, or a combination of these agents, and apoptotic cells were examined by flow cytometry analysis.
