Digestion (2 h) of bacterial cellulose by Cel6A (▴) and Cel7A (■) from H. insolens in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer at pH 6.5 and 37°C. The percentage of degradation is represented as a function of the ratio of enzyme to substrate (nanomoles of cellulase per milligram of cellulose).
