Degradation of phenanthrene obtained with a Dover soil inoculum in batch enrichment cultures grown in the absence (control) and in the presence of sand, AMB, SM7, and SM2 sorptive phases. Results are shown for selected transfers and indicate the development of consistent patterns for the phenanthrene degradation rate as a function of time and as a function of solid-phase polarity.
