Summary of non-synonymous SNPs and indels identified in the genome of PA isolates resistant to the action of 1 mg mL−1 colistin when compared with the re-sequenced reference genome of the progenitor (PAO1). All isolates sequenced were collected from a steady-state continuous-flow culture after 1 h or 8 h exposure (as indicated) to 8 µg mL−1 colistin (2× MIC). Culture type identifies whether the isolate was obtained from a mono-species (Mono) or polymicrobial (Poly) culture. Mutation type is abbreviated to ins (insertion), del (deletion) or snp (single nucleotide polymorphism). NT position and AA position denote the location of the nucleotide or amino acid change in the gene or encoded protein, respectively.
