Figure 4

Effect of SELENOM-KD (a) and SELENOT-KD (b) on the Ca2+ capacity of the endoplasmic reticulum. (a,b) Ca2+ signals in the Scra, SELENOM-KD (a), and SELENOT-KD (b) experimental groups to the application of thapsigargin (TG, 10 mM) in a nominally calcium-free medium supplemented with Ca2+ chelator EGTA (0.5 mM). At the end of the experiment, 10 μM ATP was added as a test for the depletion of the ER Ca2+ pool. Ca2+ signals of cells in one experiment and their average value are presented. The number of cell passages used for experiments is 4.
