Inclusion criteria were microbial growth detection in aerobic blood culture bottles and monomicrobial gram stain result with gram-positive cocci or gram-negative rods and no previous enrolment of the same patient in the past 30 days. Exclusion criteria were polymicrobial blood cultures, micro-organisms, other than Enterobacterales spp., Staphylococcus spp. or Enterococcus spp., and errors leading to missing data. Error details are provided in Supplementary Table S2.
