Failure secondary to ALVAL (mild/moderate/severe). The patients have been sub-grouped according to their HLA genotypes and blood Co concentration. Higher risk genotype defined by the top 50% NTS binders, lower risk by the lowest 50%. Cox proportional hazards modelling using “Co < 2, lower risk genotype” as the reference group (n = 55) returned hazard ratios (HR)(95% CI) of 1.95 (0.22–17.0) for Co < 2, higher risk genotype (n = 25); 5.95 (0.62–57.2) for Co 2–4, lower risk genotype (n = 32); 12.54 (1.62–97.2) for Co 2–4, higher risk genotype (n = 14); 18.7 (2.45–142) for Co>4, lower risk genotype (n = 53); 53.1 (7.26–388) for Co > 4, higher risk genotype (n = 30).
