The mice were administered normal saline (vehicle control), cisplatin (5 mg/kg/day, positive control) or AKH (100 and 400 mg/kg/day). AKH and normal saline were orally administered by gavage once a day for 12 days and cisplatin by intraperitoneal injection every 3 days for a total of five times (on days 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12).
