Tissue gripping mechanism. Small custom-made clamps have two opposing jaws with small pyramids to reduce the possibility of sample slippage. The jaws of the clamp design are self-aligned by the vertical slot and pin built in within the clamp design. A uniform holding force is achieved using a thumbscrew that secures the two jaws of the clamp.
