MSNs were loaded with vancomycin (VAN) and functionalized with a ROS-degradable thioketal grafted methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG-TK) capping shell. The presence of ROS in the bacterial microenvironment produces the cleavage of TK linker and polymer degradation.
