OXTR-EGFP expressing neurons in the endopiriform nucleus (EPN). During initial electrophysiological recordings, biocytin was added to the intracellular solution and injected into the recorded cell. Post-labelling of these cells (A) revealed anatomical location of neurons recorded from during electrophysiological experiments. Endogenous expression in the OXTR-EGFP mouse tissue slice (300 µm) shows dense OXTR-EGFP expression in the EPN (B). The combined image (C) shows that the location of the cell recorded from was the OXTR-EGFP rich EPN.
