Standard deviation. To determine the core size, citrate-stabilised GNPs were imaged using TEM. The size of peptide amphiphile-coated GNPs was determined using DLS. Both average size and mean hydrodynamic diameter are given in nm. Peptide amphiphile-coated samples were prepared in PBS (pH 7.2).
