Cell viability of the macrophage-like RAW264.7 cells (A) and differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes (B) treated with apoastaxanthinals and astaxanthin. After incubation with each carotenoid (5 μM for 24 h), cell viability was determined using the WST-1 assay. Data are represented as the mean ± SEM [n = 5 (A) or n = 3 (B)].
