Graphical dot plots of apoptotic A549 cells following 24 h of treatment with 4 μM concentrations of compounds 3a, 3h, control, and reference drug. Flow cytometry was used to evaluate the cells after they were extracted and labeled with Annexin-V (AV) and PI. For the analysis of statistical significance between drug and control, the histogram investigation of drug treatment has been used. The results are shown in terms of mean ± SEM. * indicates P less than 0.05 and *** indicates P less than 0.001 with n = 4 for each analysis. Non-parametric t-test was used for calculating statistical values by using the GraphPad prism.
