The experimental protocol. VaD was induced by NA and STZ injection on day 0. The blood glucose levels were measured on day 3 and day 7. BC and DP were administered from day 8 to day 23. The MWM training (learning phase) was conducted from day 18 to day 21. The MWM test (retrieval phase) was conducted on day 22. All the animals were sacrificed on day 23.
