Volume 66, no. 11, p. 4688–4695, 2000. The entire nucleotide sequence of pRGO1 from P. acidipropionici (GenBank accession no. AB007909) was previously presented at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Fermentation and Bioengineering, Tokyo, Japan, 18 September 1997 [J. Ferment. Bioeng. 84(1), appendix P. 12; Abstr. Meet. p. 26]. Following submission of this article, we learned that plasmids pLME108 from P. freudenreichii (GenBank accession no. AJ006662) and plasmid pLME106 from P. jensenii (GenBank accession no. AJ250233) are related to pRGO1. Information about these plasmids can be found in another paper (S. Miescher, M. P. Stierli, M. Teuber, and L. Meile, Syst. Appl. Microbiol. 23:174–184, 2000). The nucleotide sequences of plasmids pRGO1 and pLME106 are 100% identical.
