MVIC torque was determined as the highest 10-ms average torque generated during the 500 ms before each superimposed doublet twitch stimulus, which was assessed immediately before (pretest) and after (posttest) performance of low-load blood flow restriction (LLBFR; A, □) and low-load non-blood flow restriction (LL; B, ○) leg extension muscle actions. There was no significant interaction, but there was a main effect for Time. *Significant (P < 0.05) main effect for Time, collapsed across Condition (pretest > posttest). Note that in C the effects of LLBFR and LL have been displayed separately across Time, although there was no interaction.
