Diverse mycoviruses were detected from Diplodia seriata (the strain L3). (A) Colony morphology of the strain L3 and L3ht1 grown of PDA media. L3 was partially cured by hyphal tipping to obtain L3ht1. (B) Agarose gel electrophoresis of dsRNA and total nucleic acid fractions. DsRNA was purified from an equal amount (5 μg) of total RNA fractions of the two strains and resuspended in an equal amount of distilled water. The genomic dsRNA of MyRV1 (Suzuki et al., 2004) was used as the size standard. (C) RT-PCR analysis of the two fungal strains L3 and L3ht1. Total RNA was isolated from the strains and subjected to RT-PCR using primer sets shown in Supplementary Table S1 . Targeted genomic RNAs are shown on the top of the gel.
