OSE inhibits adhesion of MDA-MB-231 cells to fibronectin and downregulates integrin α2. (A, B) OSE impairs the ability of MDA-MB-231 cells to adhere to fibronectin. Cells were treated with OSE (1.2 mg/ml) and allowed to adhere to fibronectin for 1 hr. Representative photomicrographs show the effect of OSE on MDA-MB-231 adhesion. Values are represented as mean ± SEM of relative fold inhibition of control cells (**p < 0.005). (C, D) Cells were treated with OSE (0.8 mg/ml) for 24h, and the level of integrin α 2 was detected by Western blotting. Values represent mean fold change of three independent replicates.
