Draft assessment framework potentially underlying an IST protocol for the assessment of DNT. The grey boxes correspond to an assessment of an effect or mechanism based on experimental measurements/observations (e.g., using in vitro assays for critical neurodevelopment processes) and/or predicted through one or more in silico models along with an evaluation of the reliability of the information. The blue boxes correspond to an assessment of an endpoint as coming from the combination of information on one or more effects/mechanisms/other endpoints along with an evaluation of the confidence. The DNT hazard assessment framework would be combined with other relevant decision frameworks (e.g., ADME, IVIVE).
