Educational attainment, age, marital status, work status, household earnings, and the use of various contraception methods were the major determinants of teenage pregnancy. It was also noted that open-ended communications with parents, health checkups at school, and allowing young women to work acted as protective factors for preventing teenage pregnancy. |
