Fig. 4 — Fibrin strands in large submucosal vessels in COVID-19–related ischemic enterocolitis. In some cases of COVID-19–related ischemic bowel, large submucosal vessels show fibrin strands within stagnant blood. This may be a reflection of hypercoagulability.
