Modification of 5′‐amino DNA ONs and LC‐MS characterization of BA‐labelled products. Deconvoluted mass spectra show peaks with masses expected for ss11‐mer, ss25‐mer, ss50‐mer and ds19‐mer 5′‐BA‐labelled products. Extra peaks (as indicated by black arrows) seen with longer ONs (ss25‐mer and ss50‐mer) correspond to hexaflufluroisopropanol adducts (+168 Da) formed during electrospray ionization.
