Liver hypoplasia and death of embryos in Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/-, cre mice. (A) Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/-, cre mice were identified by PCR (red arrows). Lanes 1–4, Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/-, cre mice; lanes 5–7, Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/- mice; lane 8, homozygous Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/+ mice; lane 9, albumin-cre mice; lane 10, wild-type mice, and lane 11, the water control. PCR product size was as follows: IE2, 819 bp; Alb, 245 bp; and wild-type, 994 bp. (B) Specifically expressed IE2 in Rosa26-LSL-IE2+/- mice liver was confirmed by Western blot.
