Natural killer (NK) cells can be derived from several different sources, each of which presents its own advantages and potential challenges. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) NK cells have successfully been engineered from different platforms including cord blood35,37, peripheral blood52,112,264, NK-92 cells39,265–274 and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived NK cells43,48,49.
