Gamithromycin postantibiotic effect [PAE; (A,B)] and post-antibiotic sub-MIC effect [PA-SME (C,D)] against S. suis ATCC 43765 and 05ZYH33. The post-antibiotic effects (PAEs) were measured after initial exposures to gamithromycin both at 1 × and 4 × MICs, and the PA-SMEs were measured after exposure to gamithromycin at 4 × MICs. The horizontal bars represent the time that required bacterial counts to increase by 1.0-log₁₀ CFU/ml after drug removal (PAEs) or at the sub-MIC phases (PA-SMEs).
