The spectra collected with and without microwave (MW) radiation were compared to give the enhancement factor (ε_on/off). (C) 1D ¹³C spectra of unlabeled cell walls of A. fumigatus solid culture (mainly conidia) in ¹³C-depleted, d₈-glycerol/D₂O/H₂O matrix with 10 mM AMUPol radical. This sample has different enhancement factors for carbohydrate (ε_on/off ∼ 90) and protein and lipids (ε_on/off ∼ 35 for aliphatic, aromatic, and unsaturated carbons).
