Effects of PAM (a) and 5-FU (b) on HT-29 cell viability. HT-29 cells were seeded at a density of 1 × 105 cells/mL in 24-well plates in complete medium with or without PAM from the anthocyanin-rich juice that were isolated before (J (0 d)) or after 28-day intervention (J (28 d)) or with medium alone (con), as well as with different concentrations of 5-FU. After 36 h incubation, cells were washed twice with PBS, trypsinized and cell viability was measured using a Guava® Muse® Cell Analyzer. Data are expressed as bars [%] with standard deviation. Significant differences were calculated with ANOVA with multiple comparison test. Values were different with *** p < 0.001 compared with viable cells of the controls (con) or with #*** p < 0.001 compared with dead cells of the controls (n = 2).
