Functional interactions between tumor cells and the main cells in the lung tumor micro-environment. Lung tumor micro-environment is defined by complex interactions between several actors including CAFs, endothelial cells and immune cells. CAFs promote an immunosuppressive microenvironment by interacting with Treg cells, and tumorigenesis by releasing inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TGF-β. Tumorigenesis is also promoted by neutrophils with the release of inflammatory cytokines including IL-1β.
