Six operation size categories were selected for analysis, those being hobbyist beekeepers with 1–10 colonies, smaller operation sizes of 11–50 colonies and 51–250 colonies, small commercial operations of 251–500 colonies, medium operation sizes of 501–3000 colonies, and large operation sizes of more than 3000 colonies.
