Primary hippocampal neurons were pretreated for 10 min with or without PJ34 (10 μM), then exposed to MNNG (500 μM, 20 min) before staining with anti-MAP2 antibodies (red) and anti-Rab5 (green, left) or anti-EEA1 (green, right). (B) OVA-Alexa uptake by primary hippocampal neurons. Neurons were pretreated for 10 min with or without PJ34 (10 μM), then exposed to MNNG (500 μM, 20 min) before addition to OVA-Alexa647 (50 μg/mL, 1 h). Neurites and nuclei were marked with MAP2 (green) and DAPI (blue), respectively. Scale bar: 10 μm.
