Determination of E-ascladiol formation from patulin by recombinant E. coli LOBSTR-BL21 (DE3) expressing various G. oxydans enzymes. Recombinant E. coli LOBSTR-BL21 (DE3) cells were resuspended at a concentration of 50 mg/mL in 20 mM MES buffer, pH 5. Resuspended cell pellet buffer was incubated with 10 µg/mL patulin, and 500 µM NADPH for 24 h. Samples were analyzed by HPLC in triplicate.
