Viral IFN counteraction mechanisms are species-specific. (A and B) Nontransduced cell lines were transfected with 250 ng of low-molecular-weight poly(I·C) or treated with PBS for 16 h. The relative amounts of IFIH1 mRNA (a) and OAS1 mRNA (b) were determined by qPCR analysis. The results are expressed as fold increases relative to unstimulated PBS-treated cells.
