Lymphangitis carcinomatosis pattern with metastatic signet ring gastric cancer (SRGC). 49 year old female with history of SRGC presenting with shortness of breath. Chest CT at the time of presentation (A, B) shows small ground glass opacities (arrows in A and B), initially thought to be infectious or inflammatory in etiology. However in view of history of SRCC, possibility of metastatic disease was considered. Chest CT three weeks later (C,D) shows extensive consolidative opacities and septal thickening throughout the right lung with new small right pleural effusion, confirmed to be lymphangitic carcinomatosis from SRGC on cytology.
