Phosphoryl transfer from IIA^LacS-6H∼P to HPr from S. thermophilus. The dephosphorylation reaction was started by adding 11 μM purified IIA^LacS-6H∼P to 50 mM Tris acetate (pH 7.5) containing 1 mM DTT, 2 mM MgCl₂, and HPr at concentrations of 10 μM (•), 25 μM (■), and 50 μM (▴). The reaction volume was 10 μl, and the temperature was 10°C. The inset shows the dephosphorylation of the IIA^LacS-6H in the absence of HPr.
