There were 1,911 records excluded after screening, mostly because the subject addressed was not time perception (e.g., time in context of neuropsychological experiments not directly related to time perception, neurophysiology and time response of neurons, etc.). The full-text articles were excluded due to wrong patient population (patients with neurological diseases other than stroke – e.g., brain tumor), wrong study design (mainly focusing in other cognitive dysfunctions besides time perception or where time perception is due to another primarily cognitive dysfunction) or wrong outcomes (differences in motor tasks that occur due to time perception dysfunction but that do not translate into a specific time perception deficit).
