Expression of PARRF in E. coli DH5α. Cytosoluble proteins (5 μg) were separated on an SDS-polyacrylamide gel, and the gel was stained by Coomassie brilliant blue R-250. Lanes: 1, DH5α (pUC18); 2, DH5α (pSP1814); 3, DH5α (pSP1914); 4, DH5α (pRR2). Plasmids pSP1814 and pSP1914 are pUC18 and pUC19 carrying the 1.4-kb frrPA fragment, respectively. The direction of the promoter of the latter is opposite to that of the former. pRR2 is pUC19 carrying the frrEC gene.
