Methods	Randomised controlled trial
Participants	People with a non‐healing venous leg ulcer or mixed aetiology ulcer with a presence of ≥ 25% visible slough within the wound bed
Interventions	IntraSite Gel (hydrogel) vs PluroGel Burn
Outcomes	Change in ulcer size; change in mean percent reduction of slough in wound bed over 4 weeks of treatment; patient evaluation; staff evaluation
