Distinct populations of “induced”, “selected”, and “transient” tumor-cells states, regulons, and TFs (bold) contribute to intratumoral heterogeneity, which plays a role in treatment resistance. As cell states may be differentially susceptible to treatment and may be selected for or induced by therapeutic intervention, use of a more complete view of cell state trajectories with scSYGNAL and MINER analysis may allow for the prediction of therapies that work in either the concurrent setting against cell states or an adjuvant/neo-adjuvant setting against induced cell states.
