Different gastric motility parameters that model different types of gastroparesis considered in this study. Gastroparesis is identified with neuropathic and/or myopathic abnormalities that decrease the number ( $\propto 1/T_{\mathrm{p}}$; $T_{\mathrm{p}}$ is the pulse interval) and/or the amplitude of contractions ( ${\lambda }_{\mathrm{a},\text{max}}$), respectively. We then calculate the motility index (MI) for each corresponding case.
