LDs originate from MAM where ORP5 localizes (zoomed region of cell 1). Zoom of the time-lapse of confocal spinning disk microscopy (one plan taken with an objective 40×) of HeLa cells co-expressing EGFP-ORP5B (green) and Mito-BFP (gray). Images were acquired every 30 s for 12 min. After 2 min of acquisition, the cells were treated with FA568 (red) at 1 µM (related to Fig. 4 A, entire cell shown in Video 1).
