This figure shows a schematic representation of the method to measure depth and length of a glenoid bone loss. A best-fit circle is placed on the lower two-thirds of the glenoid. A line connecting the anteroinferior and anterosuperior rim of the glenoid bone loss was used to measure the length of the bony defect (blue line). To measure the depth of the glenoid bone loss, a second line (red line) perpendicular to the first line was drawn between the deepest point of the glenoid bone loss and the best-fit circle.
