The pretest followed the instructions of OECD TG 221 and was conducted with four test concentrations (three replicates) and a control condition (eight replicates) over a period of 7 days. After measuring the frond area and frond number, concentration–response curves were generated. Subsequently, the EC₅ and EC₂₀ were used as test conditions for the modified L. minor growth inhibition test, which was shortened to 3 days. At day 3, the plant material obtained was used for RNA and protein extraction for transcriptome and proteome analysis. Created with BioRender.com.
