Protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks of DEGs. The PPI information of DEGs potentially involved in transcription and translation and chromatin organization (a), and metabolism (b), was obtained through a database search using STRING database v11 with a high confidence score (0.9), and imported into Cytoscape v3.8.2 (https://cytoscape.org/) for network construction and plotting. Proteins and their interactions are shown as nodes (spheres) and edges (lines), respectively. Nodes in red or green color indicate upregulated and downregulated DEGs, respectively.
