Changes in carotenoid concentration in the SC of the inner forearm skin of 10 volunteers after exposure to the violet-blue light (dose 100 J/cm2: light 40 mW/cm2, exposure time 42 min), measured in vivo by RRS. There are three scenarios that are shown: skin without the application of sunscreen, skin with the application of sunscreen with a sun protection factor 50 containing the antioxidant licochalcone A in a volume concentration of 0.005%, and skin with the application of sunscreen with sun protection factor 50 containing no antioxidants.
