Chloroquine (CQ) and 3-methyladenine (3-MA) decrease cisplatin (CIS)-induced fibronectin and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) expression. Western blot analysis was performed to assess relative protein levels of the indicated proteins in the renal cortex of mice treated with three or four weekly doses of 9 mg/kg CIS or vehicle (VEH) and either CQ (A) or 3-MA (D).
